The Center Point Story
Our story stretches back long before we became owners of Center Point Air Conditioning. The company itself began in 1998—but its roots go much deeper than that.
The original founder of Center Point Air Conditioning, Fred Newbury, had been shaping the HVAC industry long before he ever owned the company. He started learning the trade at just 12 years old and spent his entire life working in HVAC, building a reputation for skill, honesty, humility and heart. When he eventually purchased Center Point in 1998, he brought decades of knowledge with him.
A few years later, Russell McCoy joined the Center Point team and stepped into a once-in-a-lifetime mentorship. Under Fred’s guidance, Russell learned far more than the technical craft of HVAC. He learned the heart and integrity behind the work — the importance of treating customers like neighbors, valuing relationships, and taking pride in craftsmanship that stands the test of time. What started as a job quickly became a calling, shaping the way we operate today.
That legacy—years of skill, heart, knowledge, and genuine talent for conditioning air—is what Center Point Air Conditioning is built on. And it’s what we’ve carried forward as a family-owned company.
Over the past 25+ years, we’ve had the privilege of serving schools, churches, homeowners, commercial properties, and many property managers who trusted us with their buildings and their tenants. Every one of those relationships has shaped who we are.

We’ve been proudly serving Central Texas since the 1998. Originally founded in Belton, our family-owned business now calls Pflugerville home and serves communities all the way from Austin to Waco.
